Ken Robb is an author and screenwriter known for his dynamic storytelling and compelling narratives. He graduated from the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting, and his screenplays have consistently gained recognition in prestigious competitions. He adapted his screenplay, Jolly’s Christmas, into a successful picture book. Chains of Gold marks his debut in the realm of historical fiction novels.
Before embarking on his writing journey, Ken was a seasoned advertising professional using his storytelling skills to craft compelling narratives that played a pivotal role in enhancing the appeal of prominent corporate brands.
In addition to writing, he continues to work as an advertising consultant, a paid reader, a script consultant, and a film festival judge. When he is not writing or working, he is driven by his inquisitive nature to understand, enjoy, and explore the world.

I was always fascinated by film and television. This passion led me to a career in advertising, where I truly enjoyed storytelling. Although the idea of writing a novel crossed my mind occasionally, I thought it would be too difficult, challenging, and time-consuming.
The urge to write a screenplay for a movie kept haunting me. I had an idea for a children's Christmas story about a moose. I soon realized I didn't know what I was doing. Writing for film and television has a unique language. I found a mentor who was a UCLA professor and a Disney writer. She was extremely helpful. I wanted to learn more and was accepted into the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting.
I wrote several screenplays, pitched them to agents and producers, rewrote them, and learned. My children's story became "Jolly's Christmas." The screenplay was well-received, and several people thought it would make an excellent children's book. This led me on a great adventure.
Jolly's Christmas has been a success as a children's picture book. After writing more screenplays, I was encouraged and compelled to turn "Chains of Gold" into a novel. This has led me on yet another exciting adventure.

The main reason I write is driven by an urge to share stories that inspire me. My writing spans various genres. People often try to pigeonhole writers into a genre, such as a children's, mystery, thriller, or historical fiction. I refuse to be categorized, limited, or narrowly judged.
The world is full of amazing stories that should be shared. They come in many forms. I will keep writing the ones that inspire me. There is a drive to create that pushes someone to put in the time and effort to turn a story into a book or movie that others can enjoy. Writer Toni Morrison said, "If there is a book that you really want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it!"
